Marc's mission is to help gardeners at all levels get the most from their gardening experience. His interactive gardening workshops are entertaining and inspiring with research-based information, practical, instantly usable tips and creative ideas for any garden.

Marc is an award-winning vegetable gardener, master gardener, and writer of best selling 'Growing Elite Heirloom Tomatoes' available at GrowingEliteTomatoes.com. He’s a gardening instructor for an international audience, a seed saver, and a contributing editor for multiple gardening magazines and his favorite vegetable growing websites.

He started his job with writing that also appears in magazines, newspapers, and popular home and garden websites and e-zines read by thousands upon thousands of his fans.

Marc currently lives and gardens in California, where he busily helps organize the annual Seed a Row for the Hungry campaign.

Marc has a partial degree in Horticulture and a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources.  Having lived in the cold, temperate and hot parts of the US, he has gained experience over the years with gardening in a variety of climates. Marc also talked to many people and helped working for a fertilizer company where he was responsible for developing, editing and publishing a several technical manuals on nutrition and fungal diseases for a wide range of horticultural crops especially including quality and traits of distinguishing tomatoes.

He is currently studying for his Masters Degree in Plant Pathology. He has studied at many universities including several in the USA, and has worked in a research capacity in government and commercial organizations. He is the author of several scientific papers and technical botony disease and nutrition manuals, as well as articles and speeches for various horticultural groups and conferences.

Marc's dream has won several awards from farming magazines for his latests book(s),
technical articles and helping others turn their empty backyard plots into a bountiful harvest of
vegetable matter to feed the family, the community, and his desire of contributing to
eventually ending world hunger. Originally from the Northern US, Marc and his family owned a 1500 ac farm where they grew commercial and horticultural crops
including tomatoes before they moved to sunny California.

As a specialist in plant disease and nutrition, Marc provides professional advice to
commercial growers of tomatoes around the world.

He enjoys cleaning up & helping set up community garden projects and investing his energy in
consulting people's backyards to maximize their food production for their family's own dinner table,
spending time in pristine Mother Nature and learning from her secrets,
meditation, hiking, playing video games, Spirituality, painting, and making music.
